Twin brothers are The Biggest Losers

Twin brothers are pound-by-pound the biggest winners on NBC's "The Biggest Loser."

Bill Germanakos, a 41-year-old medical salesman from Lynbrook, N.Y., lost 164 pounds, slimming down from 334 pounds to 170 pounds over an eight-month period to win the televised weight-loss competition. He took home the $250,000 grand prize.

His brother, Jim, a police officer from Massapequa, N.Y., won the weigh-in among previously eliminated contestants, dropping 186 pounds. He went from 361 pounds to 175 pounds. He earned a $100,000 prize.

The season finale was held Tuesday night. The brothers, in an appearance Wednesday on the "Today" show, said their overweight father died at age 57.

"The Biggest Loser: Couples" will premiere Jan. 1, with teams of two competing rather than individuals, NBC said.

Britney's sister Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant at 16

Another Spears baby is reportedly on the way — and it's not Britney's. Jamie Lynn Spears, the 16-year-old "Zoey 101" star and sister of Britney, told OK! magazine that she's pregnant and that the father is her boyfriend, Casey Aldridge.

"It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected," she said. "I was in complete and total shock and so was he."

Spears is 12 weeks along and initially kept the news to herself when she learned of the pregnancy from an at-home test and subsequent doctor visit, she told the celebrity magazine, which hits stands in New York on Wednesday and the rest of the country by Friday.

What message does she want to send to other teens about premarital sex? "I definitely don't think it's something you should do; it's better to wait," she told the magazine. "But I can't be judgmental because it's a position I put myself in."

After she found out from a doctor that she was pregnant, she said, "I took two weeks to myself where I didn't tell anybody."

"Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone's opinion affect my decision. Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me," she said.

Spears broke the news to her mother, Lynne, just before Thanksgiving, the magazine reported.

"She was very upset because it wasn't what she expected at all," Spears said. "A week after, she had time to cope with it and became very supportive."

Lynne Spears, already grandmother to Britney's young sons, told the magazine: "I didn't believe it because Jamie Lynn's always been so conscientious. She's never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby."

She said her actress daughter, the telegenic heroine of her popular Nickelodeon series, has known Aldridge for years and began dating him in high school.

But in a recent interview with The Associated Press, Spears said she had no steady boyfriend. "I kind of just keep my options open," she said. "I have a bunch of friends that I always hang out with, a bunch of guy friends." She declined to talk about her older sister.

Spears spoke to the AP shortly before Thanksgiving, the day she told OK! she informed her mother about the pregnancy.

Jamie Lynn plans to raise the baby in her home state of Louisiana — "so it can have a normal family life."

Nickelodeon released a statement: "We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being."

A publicist for the network did not immediately respond to phone and e-mail requests for additional comment.

"Zoey 101" is scheduled to conclude its third season Jan. 4 with a cliffhanger episode in which Spears' character must decide whether to leave her fictional Pacific Coast Academy boarding school in California to join her parents in London.

The show is scheduled to resume in February, and its producer, Dan Schneider, has said filming on the fourth season has already been completed.

'Grey's Anatomy' cast visits picket line

LOS ANGELES - The cast of the top-rated medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" joined striking Hollywood writers on a picket line Wednesday and said they were shooting scenes for their last scripted episode.

Stars Patrick Dempsey, Ellen Pompeo, Sandra Oh and T.R. Knight, who plays Dr. George O'Malley, spent their lunch breaks outside the Prospect Studios, where "Grey's" is filmed.

"We're supposed to be going until the end of May and right now our last shooting day will be Tuesday or Wednesday," Knight said. "As actors, we're paid a different way than the writers, but there's also the crew to keep in mind. They are out of work as of next Wednesday."

Said Oh, who plays Dr. Christina Yang: "This matter is way too important not only for our writers, but ultimately everyone who makes movies, everyone who makes entertainment here in this town and again for the rest of the world."

Other cast members included Justin Chambers, James Pickens Jr., Sara Ramirez, Eric Dane and Katherine Heigl, who portrays Dr. "Izzie" Stevens.

"You've got to have a story," Heigl said. "You've got to have a story in order to perform anything, to have any ideas on where to go and what to do, and where the character, story lines, arcs, everything. They're everything. We can't do it without them."

The strike began Monday after negotiations between the Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers failed to produce a deal on how much writers are paid when shows are offered on the Internet.

"It's really a big tragedy to be out here striking at all," said Dempsey, who plays Dr. Derek Shepherd. "I think there are going to be a lot of people affected by this, that have families, that live paycheck to paycheck, that upsets me profoundly. But at the same time, I do feel that the writers deserve a better break on the deals they have been getting."

Secrets of Desperate Housewives' New Gay Neighbors Revealed!

Two gay guys are about to shake up Wisteria Lane, but it's not their sexuality that's the issue — it's their bad taste in art! On October 21, Desperate Housewives (Sundays at 9 pm/ET, ABC) will introduce newbie neighbors Bob and Lee — played by Tuc Watkins (One Life to Live) and Kevin Rahm (Judging Amy) — and they'll quickly get tiffy with Susan (Teri Hatcher).
"Susan is so desperate to be nice, she puts her foot in her mouth and pisses them off," reveals creator Marc Cherry. "She and Lee become instant enemies." Emotions escalate when the boys unveil a pricey but annoyingly shiny sculpture/fountain on their front lawn. "Everyone is united in thinking it's the ugliest thing ever, but it tears Wisteria Lane apart," Cherry says. "Half the people want the fountain removed and half are defending Bob and Lee's right to have it. It causes a power struggle between Lynette [Felicity Huffman] and Katherine [Dana Delany] over who's going to run the homeowners' association."

Bob and Lee will move into the old Applewhite house, putting them between Susan and Gaby (Eva Longoria). "They've escaped the big city at Bob's insistence, so it's kind of a Green Acres thing," Watkins says. "Bob loves the suburbs. Lee's a bitch and hates it." In an effort to make nice with the neighbors, Bob opens up their home for a Halloween party, but the mix of new and old acquaintances turns toxic. Hints Watkins: "We invite some of our friends from the city, and not only do they humiliate us, they incriminate us."

Yes, Bob and Lee have their secrets. (There's even buzz that one of them may have a past in pornography.) "C'mon, this is Desperate Housewives! I don't think you're allowed on the show unless you're hiding something," Rahm says. "But Bob and Lee dig into other people's business, too. In protecting our fountain, we learn Katherine's big secret and use it as blackmail."

Both actors have played gay before: Watkins on Showtime's Beggars and Choosers, Rahm on CSI (he killed Catherine's dad) and on the flopped sitcom Crumbs (as Fred Savage's boyfriend). Still, neither landed Housewives easily.

"Rumor is, they were wooing David Beckham and Robbie Williams, and that made a lot of actors want these roles," says Rahm, who barely got in the door on the last day of auditions. He'd been shooting a guest spot on Scrubs — in a bald cap — and was warned to be in Cherry's office no later than 6:30 pm. He wrapped Scrubs at 6:40. "I lucked out," Rahm says. "If Marc hadn't been running late, he wouldn't have seen me."

Watkins had previously gone out for the role of new hottie gynecologist Adam. But the gig went to pal and former One Life to Live costar Nathan Fillion. "In the end, things worked out fine," Watkins notes. "I was really happy for Nathan. Really. I also wanted to put a knife in his neck." Welcome to Wisteria Lane.

The first promo for the new season is also scheduled to air during Game 2 of the World Series on Thursday, Oct. 25 (8:00 PM-CC ET/5:00 PM-CC PT) on Fox.

The innovative, addictive, Emmy Award-winning television series 24 resets the clock for "Day 7" with a special two-night premiere event beginning Sunday, Jan. 13 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and continuing in the series' regular time period Monday, Jan. 14 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on Fox. Meanwhile, President Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones) leads the country alongside White House Chief of Staff Ethan Kanin (Bob Gunton) and First Gentleman Henry Taylor (Colm Feore).

Although CTU is no longer, Chloe O'Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) and Bill Buchanan (James Morrison) are back for another momentous day of shocking events.

David Copperfield is Being Investigated by the FBI

Magician David Copperfield is being investigated by the FBI.

Authorities won't comment about the investigation, but did confirm that agents raided Copperfield's personal belongings Wednesday night. We're told agents searched a warehouse in Las Vegas where Copperfield stores items for his show.

The raid reportedly stems from an ongoing case in Seattle. TMZ spoke to an FBI spokesperson who refused to comment, saying only that there was an ongoing investigation.

Eyewitness News in Vegas is reporting that 12 agents "stormed the warehouse," seizing a computer hard drive, a digital camera system and nearly $2 million in cash.

David Chesnoff, Copperfield's lawyer, told TMZ, "We understand there is an investigation, we are in touch with the investigators, and are respecting the confidentiality of the investigation." Chesnoff would not comment on the nature of the probe.

It's official: Jorja Fox leaving ''CSI''

CSI's Jorja Fox — the 39-year-old actress whose tenure on TV's No. 1 drama almost ended in 2004 when she was temporarily fired during tense contract negotiations — has quit the show. She wrapped production on the drama last week. Fox told EW.com exclusively that her decision to give up the role of Sara Sidle had nothing to do with money and everything to with wanting a break from the commitment of a weekly television series.

"There are all these things I want to do. Some are personal. Some are professional. And I really need to do some of them before I get too old," explains Fox. "If I thought the show were on its last legs, I would have tried harder to stay the course. But I feel like its going to be around for a while, so if I don’t want some of those dreams to pass me by. I have to get off the ride for a while."

Fox said CBS had invited her back for an eighth season (her contract expired in May) but she was only interested in signing on for a limited number of episodes. She'll appear in five more this season — her last in mid-November — before saying goodbye to TV's top-rated drama. For more on EW.com's exclusive interview with Fox, check back on Wednesday.

Fox Business Channel takes on CNBC

Rupert Murdoch's Fox Business Network made its debut at 5 a.m. EDT on Monday, aiming to expand the audience for business news beyond Wall Street viewers and take on incumbent cable business news leader CNBC.

Big-name guests on the new network's first day include U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, in a taped interview, and British entrepreneur Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group.

FBN wasted no time tweaking the competition. In a dimly lit street across from CNBC's headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, Fox Business stocks editor Elizabeth MacDonald delivered morning business news updates.

"Who would've thought anyone could cover the stock markets out there -- but here we go," MacDonald quipped. "It's hunting season, and we hear that peacocks are in season."

A multicolored peacock is the corporate logo for CNBC and parent NBC Universal.

Some two years in the making, News Corp's Fox Business Network will air to a little over 30 million homes in the United States, or under a third of CNBC's reach, from studios at its New York headquarters.

Murdoch said he is considering launching versions in other countries and plans to invest $300 million over the next three years, by which time he hopes FBN will have beat CNBC in ratings, according to a Fortune report on Monday.

Playing David to the industry Goliath is a familiar role for Fox News President Roger Ailes, who oversees Fox Business.

Ailes ran CNBC until he was poached by Murdoch to launch Fox News in 1996. A staple of brash and opinionated talk shows made Fox News entertaining and helped it beat Time Warner Inc's CNN in ratings ever since its fourth year.

FBN kicked off its first programming day with "Fox Business Morning," hosted by former Forbes.com reporter Jenna Lee and ex-Bloomberg anchor Nicole Petallides.

They moderated discussions on fast-food chain stocks, such as McDonald's, interspersed with weather and sports updates.

Ahead of the launch, Fox Business said little about its lineup, citing competitive concerns. Just one day after CNBC announced a new segment on its "Fast Money" show that will take place inside a bar, Fox Business said it has been developing a show since July called "Happy Hour," which will also take place inside a bar. The news leaked after it began rehearsals.

What Fox Business has said is that it will seek to demystify Wall Street, helping regular viewers connect global business trends to ordinary people's lives.

"A lot of people who don't have a lot of money (will) appreciate the fact that we're not speaking over their heads," Neil Cavuto, the network's managing editor, told Reuters recently. "That's a way of ensuring going beyond the typical Wall Street crowd."

The network will have its own equities index, the FOX50, which includes large-cap stocks with a heavy consumer interest such as AT&T Inc, FedEx Corp, Johnson & Johnson and Microsoft Corp.

The launch is part of Murdoch's plan to dominate global business news coverage on air and in print, and follows News Corp's $5 billion deal to buy Dow Jones & Co Inc, publisher of The Wall Street Journal.

Even before the deal's anticipated closing in the next few weeks, Fox Business executives are already drawing comparisons.

"It's pretty analogous to The Wall Street Journal," Cavuto said, describing how business world developments will be connected to general news. "There's a column there for the latest business developments and there's a column for the latest news developments and they live fairly harmoniously together."

FBN reporters were heard saying on-air, "The Wall Street Journal tells Fox Business," when referring to stories they picked up from the paper.

What the channel won't have at launch is actual Wall Street Journal business reporters. A 15-year agreement between General Electric Co's CNBC and Dow Jones prevents Journal business reporters from appearing on Fox Business until the contract ends in 2012.

'Gossip Girl' Gets Full Season Order

Did you hear? S and B's catty little games will continue now that The CW has picked up a full season of "Gossip Girl."

"People everywhere are talking about 'Gossip Girl' and we believe this show will continue to build audience as it builds buzz," says Dawn Ostroff, the network's president of entertainment. "Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage have created an incredibly heightened-reality world that viewers are locking into while advertisers, affiliates and press have also embraced the show. The series has earned its early pick-up and we look forward to a long run on The CW."

"Gossip Girl" is based on the popular young adult novels by Cicely von Ziegesar and focuses on the backstabbing, evil machinations, jealousies and one-upmanship played out among the elite teens at two private boarding schools on the Upper East Side. The freshman series stars Blake Lively as Serena, the golden girl protagonist who returns to town after a year away at boarding school, only to find that her best friend Blair (Leighton Meester) isn't happy to have her back. The show also stars Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick, Taylor Momsen, Connor Paolo, Matthew Settle, Kelly Rutherford and the voice of Kristen Bell narrating as the anonymous blogger Gossip Girl.

Although the numbers have only indicated about 3 million viewers tuning in on Wednesdays for the new teen soap, the percentage of those that are teens and young women has been promising, especially given The CW's love of the young demo. This includes factoring in DVR viewership. The show has averaged a 2.8 rating/share in women 18-34, 1.9/5 in adults 18-34 and 4.7/15 in female teens.

"Gossip Girl" is the first new series picked up for a full season of episodes on The CW in its sophomore year.

The Green Adventures

I am a fan of Sports, like soccer, NBA or something like that, so I am glad that I was told somebody makes a good sports websites together. I am a sports news writer of one website, so I know the hard work, and the time emergency. So eventually I write less and less articles. It really needs a lot of resource of build a sports website well. And I think The Green Adventures is a not bad one.

The Green Adventures is an affiliation of websites related to sports. The sites are primarily geared towards but not limited to individual player sites, team sites from major sports including NBA, NHL, NFL, and MLB currently and over time we are gradually expanding into other sports including Tennis, Golf, and Car Racing etc. Stay Tuned.

You can see his sports sites web design is quite good; the only lack thing I think is content, like news refresh. Take kobebryantinside.com for example, the web design is nice, but the news is poor, So my advice is to enhance content, if you don’t have time, you can spend some money to hire someone to do these staff.

Anyway, I just see a few websites, maybe his other websites is quite good, you’d better check out yourself: http://www.thegreenadventures.com/

Ever Carradine's Joins '24'

The latest new addition to this season's "24" cast is familiar face Ever Carradine.

The seventh season of the popular FOX drama began production began production last month with an assortment of fresh characters played by Cherry Jones, Janeane Garofalo and Colm Feore, plus Annie Wersching, Jeffrey Nordling, John Billingsley and Rhys Coiro.

Although The Hollywood Reporter has only a little information on Carradine's casting, the trade paper says that she'll play an FBI agent and that it will be a recurring role.

One of this season's big "24" shifts is the first female president (played by Jones) in the show's universe. While that may be shocking for some, Carradine covered the territory previously as one of the stars of ABC's short-lived "Commander in Chief."

Carradine is one of TV's most prolific guest stars, having done turns on "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "Men in Trees," "Grey's Anatomy," "House" and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" in recent years.

She'll also be recurring on ABC's freshman drama "Women's Murder Club" this season.

FOX Got J.J. Abrams' New Sci-fi Show 'Fringe'

FOX has given a series commitment to "Fringe," based on a sci-fi spec script by J.J. Abrams and regular collaborators Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.

According to the industry trade papers, "Fringe" will now shoot a two-hour pilot budgeted in the $10-million range, a rather massive outlay putting it in the same neighborhood as the two-hour pilot for Abrams' "Lost."

The script was developed in the midst of pre-production on the Paramount reboot of the "Star Trek" franchise, which Abrams will direct from a script by Orci and Kurtzman. "Fringe" went out to networks early this week and FOX made a quick bid, which is also expected to include an episode license fee of around $2 million.

The show's main character is a young, female FBI agent (The Hollywood Reporter raises the possibility of Abrams' "Felicity" star Keri Russell as potential casting) who has to work with a brilliant research scientist and his estranged son as she explores unexplained phenomena.

The trade papers reference the quirky FOX landmark "The X-Files," early David Cronenberg films and Paddy Chayefsky's "Altered States" as major influences.

Abrams' Bad Robot shingle will produce through its deal with Warner Bros. TV. While Abrams and Bad Robot's recent offerings have included "Six Degrees" and "What About Brian," this would be his first pilot-writing credit since "Lost."

It was just announced yesterday that the Bad Robot script "Boundaries," from Jill Soloway, had received a put pilot commitment at ABC. Bad Robot is also developing a medical drama at HBO, with Abrams executive producing and possibly directing.

'Desperate Housewives' Ricardo Chavira got married in real life

Ricardo Chavira can't seem to get the right woman to commit on "Desperate Housewives," but he succeeded in real life.

The actor and his fiancee Marcea Dietzel tied the knot on Sept. 22, reports People.

The private ceremony was held in San Antonio, Texas with the couple's 4-year-old son, Tomas, as best man and ring bearer.

The rather casual affair featured the couple dresssed in pajamas. Afterwards, instead of a reception, they went to their son's soccer game.

Chavira plays Carlos Solis, who is torn between his ex-wife Gabrielle (Eva Longoria) and neighbor Edie (Nicolette Sheridan) on ABC's "Desperate Housewives." The 36-year-old has also appeared on "Six Feet Under" and "The Division," as well as guest starring on "Joan of Arcadia," "24," "JAG" and "The George Lopez Show."

Danny Bonaduce Beats Up Survivor Star Jonny Fairplay Video

LOS ANGELES -- Former "Survivor" contestant Jonny Fairplay from is accusing former "Partridge Family" star and radio show host Danny Bonaduce of throwing him and knocking out some of his teeth.

Fairplay, whose real name is Jon Dalton, filed a report with the Los Angeles Police Department Wednesday.

The report said that the reality show contestant was at an awards event when Bonaduce walked onto the stage without invitation and made a "derogatory statement" to Fairplay.

The alleged incident took place during the Fox Reality Really Channel awards, which were being held at a Sunset Boulevard nightclub.

A videotape that aired on TMZ.com shows some audience members booing Fairplay, who was on stage as a presenter. The tape then shows Bonaduce coming onto the stage.

The battery report was taken by police shortly before 2 a.m. at a Hollywood, Calif., hospital where Fairplay was treated and released.

Fairplay said that he has one broken tooth, another tooth missing from his gum line and two other teeth that are loose.

Former Lover Kimberly Bell Says Bonds Once Admitted Steroid Use

During a decade-long relationship, baseball home-run king Barry Bonds once admitted using steroids, drugs which affected his sporting and sexual performance, his former lover said on Wednesday.

Kimberly Bell, 37, spoke to Reuters ahead of the Friday publication of a nude pictorial spread in Playboy in which she discusses a romance that started in 1994 and continued into Bonds' second marriage.

Her claim was made amid a continuing federal investigation into whether Bonds, who this season broke the Major League Baseball career home run record, lied to a federal grand jury about steroids.

Bonds, who played for 15 years with the San Francisco Giants, denies using steroids.

His attorney has said he told a grand jury investigating performance-enhancing drugs from the San Francisco area BALCO labs that he never knowingly used steroids.

Bell said she had testified to a separate grand jury looking into whether Bonds told the truth on steroids. She said Bonds, 43, spoke to her about using steroids to repair an elbow injury in the late 1990s.

"He had told me that that was what he was doing, that he was doing steroids in order to fix that, although he said that he felt that steroids are what caused the problem in the first place," said Bell.

"He felt that the reason why he had the injury in the first place was because using steroids causes your muscles and your tendons to grow faster than the joint itself can handle."

STEROIDS

Bell said that they did not discuss steroids again but said she had noticed Bonds acting in a secretive way with his personal trainer Greg Anderson.

Anderson, was convicted of steroid distribution in the BALCO case. He returned to prison last year when he refused to testify before the grand jury looking into Bonds.

"When it started, there was this secretive thing between him and Greg, him leaving the room with Greg, closing the door, have to quote unquote talk to him every morning at spring training, and go and lock the bedroom door," Bell said.

"I thought it was odd....He'd go pick up his little satchel bag and walk in there with Greg," she said.

Anderson has declined to discuss his work for Bonds, a childhood friend, either in public or with investigators.

Bell, who used to work as a graphic designer in the San Francisco area but now lives in Phoenix, Arizona, said steroids led to physical changes that only a lover would see, including occasional faltering sexual performance.

"He was embarrassed. As a woman I have never come across a man who has encountered this problem before," Bell said. "The few times that it occurred, the next time around he went and found himself some Viagra."

Bell said they broke up in 2003 after Bonds threatened her on occasion. She has sought a low profile since, but was enticed by a lucrative offer to pose nude for Playboy.

'Desperate Housewives' apology over Philippines slur

Makers of the hit US television series 'Desperate Housewives'have apologized for a slur against Filipino medical workers that caused uproar here.

The apology was sent to Philippine broadcaster ABS-CBN's bureau in the United States and aired here Thursday by its cable news channel, ANC, following protests by the Manila government.

"The producers of the show and ABC studios offer our sincere apology for any offence caused by the brief reference in the season premier," ANC quoted the statement as saying.

"There was no intent to disparage the integrity of any aspect of the medical community in the Philippines," it said.

The apology was made a day after President Gloria Arroyo's office said it considered a portion of the dialogue in an episode aired last weekend as a "racial slur."

The episode showed actress Teri Hatcher, who plays Susan Mayer, asking during a medical consultation to check "those diplomas because I want to make sure that they're not from some med school in the Philippines."

An online petition calling on the ABC to issue an apology quickly spread through the large Filipino expatriate community in the US, many of them in the medical profession.

In Manila, Arroyo's chief aide, Eduardo Ermita said: "On the face, we can look at it as a racial slur."

"We are looked down upon too much, considering the number of our medical professionals in the US," Ermita said.

ABC said it remained committed to present "sensitive and respectful images of all communities" featured in its programs.

NEW Wall-E Trailer

Spears ordered to give kids to Federline

Britney Spears hit another personal low, being ordered to relinquish her children by a judge who had cited her drug-and-alcohol-fueled lifestyle.

Ex-husband Kevin Federline will take Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, beginning Wednesday "until further order of the court," Los Angeles County Court Commissioner Scott M. Gordon ruled Monday.

Phone messages left for representatives of Spears and Federline were not immediately returned.

This is the latest problem to plague Spears, whose fortunes have taken a very public turn for the worse since splitting from Federline, 29, last year. The two were married in October 2004. Spears filed for divorce last November and it became official in July.

Since becoming single, Spears has appeared increasingly erratic and out-of-control. First, she was photographed at various Hollywood hotspots partying hard with Paris Hilton, with some photos capturing the pop star without panties. Then Spears shaved her head as paparazzi looked on, beat a car with an umbrella and ended up spending a month in rehab.

Last month, Gordon said Spears engaged in "habitual, frequent and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol" and ordered her to undergo random drug and alcohol testing twice a week as part of her ongoing custody dispute with Federline.

Spears also was previously ordered to meet weekly with a "parenting coach" who was to observe and report back to the court about her parenting skills. Both Spears and Federline must complete the court's "Parenting Without Conflict" class.

Spears was set to redeem herself and return to the pop throne with a much-hyped performance at the MTV Video Music Awards last month. But it was universally panned, with Spears appearing spaced-out and lethargic — and, in some eyes, less than buff. The following week, her management firm dropped her and her divorce lawyer resigned.

Spears was then charged with misdemeanor counts of hit-and-run and driving without a valid license for allegedly crashing into a parked car in August.

The driving offenses likely compelled the judge to issue Monday's orders, said New York divorce lawyer Raoul Felder. Officials from the Department of Motor Vehicles said Spears applied for a California driver's license but did not complete the process.

"She was driving without a license with a child in the car," Felder said. "You can put aside the in and out of rehab, the shaving her head. But this? When a judge went out on a limb for her? There's no going back."

Though Spears must relinquish physical custody of the children until further ruling from the court, she and Federline still share legal custody.

Los Angeles divorce lawyer Connolly Oyler said he's surprised the children weren't taken from Spears sooner. Judges typically remove youngsters from households where parents are ordered to undergo drug testing, he said.

But, he added, all is not lost for Spears.

"If she picks a good counselor and gets a different set of friends, there's a good chance she can turn things around," he said, noting "she's only 25."

The couple is due back in court Oct. 3. Spears' new album is set to be released Nov. 13.

Hilary Duff waiting on tables in new movie, "Greta"

Pop singer Hilary Duff plays the title character in the interracial teen romance "Greta," which is shooting on location in New Jersey.

Duff's character is a waitress who falls for an ambitious cook (Evan Ross) at the restaurant where they work. But as their summer romance heats up, she has to overcome the concerns of her grandparents (Ellen Burstyn, Michael Murphy) about her boyfriend's criminal past.

The comic drama marks music-video veteran Nancy Bardawil's feature directing debut. Duff's feature credits include the "Cheaper by the Dozen" movie and "Agent Cody Banks."

Fall TV Season Claims First Victim, Nashville

Robert Altman's Nashville rated an Oscar. Fox's Nashville rated a quick hook.

The reality series is the first casualty of the new fall season, the network has confirmed to E! News.

Nashville aired but twice. The show about twentysomethings trying to make it in country music was supposed to bring a Southern-style Laguna Beach vibe to Fox. Instead, it only brought low ratings. The show averaged just 2.5 million viewers in its two outings, placing 109th in the most recent Nielsen Media Research standings.

The show will be replaced on the schedule this Friday by a repeat of K-Ville, Fox's struggling, but more-promising new cop show.

Elsewhere, Fox's House and ABC's Dancing with the Stars were the big ratings winners on Tuesday night.

The fourth-season premiere of the restaffed House averaged 18.1 million, preliminary Nielsen Media Research data showed. The show was down about 1.5 million total viewers from last fall's premiere, but up among 18- to 49-year-olds. Per ecstatic Fox, the show posted "the highest rated premiere of any network so far this season." All two days of it.

For all of its drawing power, House didn't really take off until Dancing with the Stars went off. In its first half-hour, House averaged 16.9 million viewers opposite Dancing's final half-hour (19.8 million). On its own, from 9:30-10 p.m., House zoomed up to 19.4 million viewers.

Overall, Dancing with the Stars stood as the night's most watched show, averaging 18.3 million fans for its boys' night in the ballroom. House stood as the highest-rated show in the 18-49 demographic.

Other premieres: The Kevin Smith-directed pilot of Reaper (3.2 million) helped bring (fan)boys to the America's Top Model-dominated CW; the ninth-season opener of NBC's Law & Order: SVU (12.1 million) won its time slot, but lost about 2.5 million viewers from last fall's first episode; Fox's Bones (8.3 million) kicked off its third season on par with its second (8.6 million); and, CBS' NCIS (13.7 million), fresh from a behind-the-scenes shakeup, added some viewers (about 200,000) from its fourth-season launch, while The Unit (10.7 million) lost about 1 million from its second-season debut.

Not that Fox is keeping track or anything, but the network wanted to point out that NCIS and The Unit both lost ground in the 18-49 department.

And not that CBS is minding that NBC is going to cram in as many Heroes viewers into next week's Nielsen standings as possible, but the network wanted to point out that once digital-video-recorder stats are considered, NCIS and The Unit will have both improved their lot in the 18-49 department.

Oddly enough, Fox and CBS had a differing of opinion on the performance of CBS' new Dallas of the Florida tropics drama, Cane (11.1 million).

Fox, the impartial observer, noted that the Jimmy Smits series was down 19 percent in the 18-49 demo from last fall's premiere of Smith, which you'll recall (and Fox did) was canceled after three episodes.

CBS, the hometown booster, noted that Cane was its most watched premiere in the 10 p.m., Tuesday time slot since a 1999 Judging Amy. As is its right, it noted the show's performance in the demo only in comparison to the lower rated The Unit, not the higher rated Smith.

The bottom line: Cane ran second in the hour in total viewers and the 18-49 demographic.

Nashville would love to have such problems.

Fishybot, a new web directory

A web directory or link directory is a directory on the Internet. It specializes in linking to other web sites and categorizing those links.

A web directory is not a search engine, and does not display lists of web pages based on keywords, instead it lists web sites by category and subcategory. The categorization is usually based on the whole web site, rather than one page or a set of keywords, and sites are often limited to inclusion in only one or two categories. Directories often allow Web site owners to directly submit their site for inclusion, and have editors review submissions for fitness. And it’s very good for SEO, Google Page Rank etc.

Fishybot is a human maintained and edited, SEO friendly web directory that lists quality, family-friendly websites.

It's a start up web directory, so you can submit your website for the top position of category. And the charge is very reasonable, a Regular Link just cost you $29 per year, you can add your website at here.

They do not accept the following types of sites, so please don't submit them, Sites that will not be approved will be refunded:

Site with any illegal content (porn/drugs/racist/wares/gambling).
Gateway pages or mirror sites.
Sites with excessive pop up's or any ActiveX content.
Under construction sites.

Kiefer Sutherland charged with DUI

Kiefer Sutherland, already on probation for a 2004 drunken driving arrest, was charged Friday with misdemeanor driving under the influence in a case the city attorney's office said could put him in jail for more than a year.

The star of the Fox TV drama "24" was charged with single counts of driving under the influence and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or above, said city attorney spokesman Nick Velasquez. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of a year in jail and a minimum of four days, Velasquez said.

"We also charged him with a second DUI offense within 10 years, which we believe also violates the terms of his probation," Velasquez added.

If found guilty of violating probation, Sutherland could be sentenced to an additional six months.

Sutherland publicist Evelyn Karamanos didn't immediately return a call for comment.

The 40-year-old actor, who was arrested Tuesday, remains free on $25,000 bail. He was scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 16.

Because he's been charged with a misdemeanor, Sutherland won't have appear in court for his arraignment unless the judge specifically orders him to be there, Velasquez said.

Police have said they stopped Sutherland shortly after 1 a.m. when they saw him make an illegal U-turn. He was arrested after failing a field sobriety test.

Authorities haven't disclosed his blood-alcohol level except to say it was .08 or above, exceeding California's legal limit.

Sutherland was pulled over shortly after leaving a Hollywood industry party at the trendy Area nightclub.

He was also arrested for DUI in 2004, and in November of that year he pleaded no contest to one misdemeanor count. He was sentenced to five years' probation, 50 hours of community service and was ordered to attend an alcohol treatment program.

City officials have said he completed the community service and treatment program but was still on probation.

He also has a 1993 conviction for alcohol-related reckless driving, according to the city attorney's office.

Sutherland won a best actor Emmy last year for his performance as dashing federal counter-terrorist agent Jack Bauer on "24."

Brand Identity Guru Branding Blog

Brand Identity Guru Branding Blog is a branding blog dedicated to policing brands, employees and the internet. It’s a fun, witty look at the good, bad and the ugly of branding.

Brand Identity Guru has been around for almost 2 decades. The blogger is called Scott White and he is the Chief Cook and Bottle Washer. He’s decided to throw his thoughts down on paper so to speak and talk about the real life branding experiences I have. Some are good, some not so good. But it’s his look at branding today. You can read how branding affects our daily lives.

Check out his personal bio here: Scott White

My advices to the blog:

1. Choose an independent and short domain. Now the domain is too long. Not easy to remember.

2. The home page is too long. It costs me half to one minute to get the whole home page loaded. 15 posts at home page is enough.

3. The introduce video of home page is not a good idea. I am listening music when I visit the blog, and the introduce video just comes up, not that comfortable. And the Internet speed becomes slow.

4. Maybe need a redesign. Add popular posts zone or some thing like that.

Anyway, the content about branding is very worth to reading. 

Nan Goldin Klara And Edda Belly Dancing Child Porn?

Police have seized photograph 'Klara And Edda Belly Dancing', which was taken by controversial, female American artist Nan Goldin, because it may be considered child pornography - and Elton John's personal website has reacted.

The photograph, which was part of exhibition series called 'Thanksgiving' from the Sir Elton John photographic collection, may have breached child pornography laws.

The exhibition gallery, which the picture did not appear in, as it was seized by police, warns: "We would like to advise you that this exhibition contains some material of a sensitive nature. It may include explicit language, nudity, sexual imagery or violence."

The photograph 'Klara And Edda Belly Dancing' of two young girls, taken by Goldin. One of the girls is depicted sitting on the ground with her legs spread wide apart. Further details of the picture are unknown.

Police removed the image from the Baltic Art Gallery the day before it was to be viewed by the public. The inappropriate photograph is currently being examined by police while Crown Prosecution Service lawyers have offered their consult.

Kiefer Sutherland Busted for DUI

"24" star Kiefer Sutherland wasn't trying to save the world when he made an illegal U-turn in the wee hours.

Instead, the Emmy-winning actor was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving on Tuesday, Sept. 25 in West Hollywood, reports TMZ.com. Earlier in the evening, he had attended the FOX Fall Eco-Casino party at Area nightclub.

The 40-year-old was pulled over at 1:35 a.m. on the corner of La Cienega and Beverly. A breathalyzer test showed that his blood alcohol level was above the legal .08 limit for California.

He was taken to the Hollywood Police station and booked for a misdemeanor DUI. He was released on $25,000 bail.

Sutherland is due in court on Oct. 16.

Following the trend established over the past two years, "24" will launch its seventh day with a two-night premiere event. The season will kick-off on Sunday, Jan. 13 with two hours starting at 8 p.m. before settling into its regular time period with a new episode at 9 p.m. the following night.

From there, "24" will stay on Mondays at 9 p.m. airing original episodes into June.

While the premiere date is bound to be exciting for "24" fans, that's nothing compared to the first official confirmation of the return of Tony Almeida. The CTU veteran, played by Carlos Bernard, was one of Jack Bauer's main allies over the show's first four seasons, but the character -- initially revered for his prodigious soul-patch -- was left unceremoniously dead at the hands of a terror suspect in Day 5.

"Tony's uncertain fate near the end of 'Day 5' left the door open for his return," says executive producer/show-runner Howard Gordon. "And since there was no silent clock at the conclusion of his last appearance –- the 24 tribute to a major character's demise – we always kept this as a possibility."

Although Tony's fate didn't appear so uncertain at the time, fans have kept alive the hope of the character's eventual return. Producers admitted that one possible ending for the show's much-maligned sixth season featured Tony showing up as a cliffhanger.

Instead, FOX just says that Tony's arrival will coincide with the beginning of Jack's seventh day, which will move the show's action from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C.

Other new additions to the "24" cast this season include Cherry Jones, Janeane Garofalo and Colm Feore, plus Annie Wersching, Jeffrey Nordling, John Billingsley and Rhys Coiro.

Although CTU has been disbanded as the season begins, the characters played by Mary Lynn Rajskub and James Morrison will be back.

Dan Rather Files $70 Million Lawsuit Against CBS

NEW YORK (AP) — Dan Rather filed a $70 million lawsuit Wednesday against CBS, alleging that the network made him a "scapegoat" for a discredited story about President Bush's National Guard service.

The 75-year-old Rather, whose final months were clouded by controversy over the report, says the complaint stems from "CBS' intentional mishandling" of the aftermath of the story.

The lawsuit, filed in State Supreme Court in Manhattan, also names CBS President and CEO Leslie Moonves, Viacom Inc., Viacom Chairman Sumner Redstone and former CBS News President Andrew Heyward. (At the time Viacom Inc. owned CBS. But Viacom and CBS Corp. split into two different companies in January 2006.)

Rather, the former anchorman of the "CBS Evening News," is seeking $20 million in compensatory damages and $50 million in punitive damages.

CBS spokesman Dana McClintock said: "These complaints are old news, and this lawsuit is without merit."

Rather narrated the September 2004 report that claimed President Bush skirted some of his duties during his National Guard service and that a commander felt pressured to sugarcoat Bush's record. Rather maintains the story was true.

But an independent review for the network determined the story was neither fair nor accurate. CBS fired three news executives and a producer for airing it.

Richard Thornburgh — the former U.S. attorney general who made up the two-man investigative panel with Louis D. Boccardi, the retired chief executive of The Associated Press — said he was unaware of Rather's lawsuit.

Reached at his home in Washington, he said only: "Our report speaks for itself."

Boccardi was not immediately available for comment.

Issued in January 2005, the 224-page report portrayed Rather as "pushed to the limit" with other stories at the time of the "60 Minutes Wednesday" report. He relied on a trusted producer, and didn't check the story for accuracy or, apparently, even see it before he introduced it on the program, the panel said.

CBS rushed the story on the air and then blindly defended it when holes became apparent, said the panel, which was unable to say conclusively whether memos allegedly disparaging Bush's service were real or fake.

Rather, who couldn't immediately be reached for comment Wednesday, worked at CBS News starting in 1962, then replaced Walter Cronkite in 1981 as "CBS Evening News" anchorman until signing off March 9, 2005.

He always considered himself a reporter first, and the habit of news anchors to travel to the scenes of big stories is largely his legacy. His interview with Saddam Hussein in 2003 was the last given by the Iraqi leader before he was toppled.

With his intense on-air demeanor, Rather also had his detractors, and his broadcast was a distant third in the evening news ratings at the time he stepped down. CBS News' ratings rebounded under short-term successor Bob Schieffer, but they've plummeted under Katie Couric, who took over the broadcast in September 2006.

Prison Break's Start as Slow as Fox's

Los Angeles (E! Online) - So, when does American Idol start up again?

Fox may be asking itself that question after a rough start to its fall season. If it wasn't the Emmys sinking, or one of its new shows tanking, it was Prison Break's season premiere getting beat out by sitcom reruns.

Last things first: Prison Break. The drama's third-season opener on Monday night averaged an estimated 7.4 million viewers, preliminary Nielsen Media Research stats show. It was the series' least watched premiere, down nearly 2 million viewers from last fall's.

Previously viewed episodes of How I Met Your Mother (10.9 million) and The New Adventures of Old Christine (12.4 million) on CBS locked out Prison Break in the 8-9 p.m. hour.

Prison Break's numbers, as well as those from the rest of Monday night's shows, will be reflected in next week's Nielsen rankings.

To say that Nashville, the first new show of the 2007-08 season to make it to air, fared even worse than Prison Break doesn't say the half of it: It fared much, much, much worse.

The reality drama, from the production company behind Laguna Beach, made the least of its jump-start on the fall season by losing to the rerun of one show that doesn't replay especially well (NBC's Las Vegas—72nd place, 3.9 million) and to the rerun of another show that doesn't replay well at all (CBS' Jericho—89th place, 3 million).

Nashville averaged just 2.7 million viewers, 1 million fewer even than what Laguna Beach spinoff, The Hills, delivered to cable's MTV last week.

Perhaps the worst news of all for Nashville: It didn't merit a single positive adjective, much less a single complete sentence in Fox's weekly ratings recap. Such silence is typically deadly.

Nashville is part of Fox's all-new, unscripted Friday night. In the 8-9 p.m. hour, the network got decent results from Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? (55th place, 5 million), which emerged as the top-rated show among 18- to 49-year-olds in its time-slot premiere.

Fox also had success Monday with the series premiere of K-Ville, the new New Orleans cop show starring Hustle & Flow's Anthony Anderson. It averaged an estimated 9 million viewers and claimed the night's demo crown.

On the further upside for Fox, K-Ville, the network noted, "showed impressive growth over its lead-in." On the further downside, K-Ville's lead-in was Prison Break.

Evil Dick Wins 'Big Brother 8' Handily

(CBS) STUDIO CITY, Calif. Dick Donato, nicknamed Evil (or if you prefer his spelling, Evel) by his housemates on "Big Brother 8", won the $500,000 prize Tuesday night for out-lasting, out-smarting and out-playing his competition.

In the end, it was between Dick and his once-estranged daughter Daniele as the two finalists for "Big Brother 8".

Before the vote, both said that whatever the outcome, they were both winners. Daniele hadn't talked to her dad for nearly two years, but after being literally locked together 24-7 for 81 days, the two forged a bond that took them to the final two.

As Dick pointed out on the prime time finale, "No team has ever come in one and two in this game."

The final tally: Dick bested his daughter by a score of 5-2. The seven member jury handed Dick the victory although at times some of the jury said it could have gone either way.

For her part, Jen who made no secret of loathing both Donatos (and the feeling couldn't be more mutual) said she "had" to vote for one of them, "although I would have preferred to have not voted at all."

We talked to all 14 houseguests after the final results were announced during a live show at CBS.

Stage 18, aka the Big Brother house, is a hop, skip and jump from our new broadcast studios, so if the Web producers have a particular affinity (translation: obsession) with the show we are to be forgiven.

We came away with a few shocks (besides liking some of the cast we didn't expect to like as much -- Dick is a complete crack up and a lot nicer than he ever appeared on TV) was finding out the backyard grass is plastic. As several housemates quipped, it is a perfect metaphor for the show. Also, the backyard, which looks pretty cavernous on TV is pretty tiny... you could walk the whole thing in 14 seconds.

We asked all the houseguests all the questions America was dying to get the answers to: What was Dick's strategy to win? Did Jessica really fall for Eric? Was Nick more than just smitten with Daniele and vice versa? Will she move to Minnesota? Is Mike really a painter? Did Dick really need a bodyguard at the after party? How close to hitting Dick did Jameka really get? Will Amber stop crying...ever? And if all those discussions about Eric's, uh, uhm, equipment (yeah, that's a tasteful word!) ever got on his nerves?
